Mark Long

Mark Long is a highly experienced businessman, accountant, consultant and entrepreneur who has undertaken a wide variety of senior roles, both as a consultant and senior business manager.

Mark has a 'change management' background; by building strong teams he has helped multi-national organisations implement best practice financial, operational and commercial processes and systems.

As the finance director of an international logistics company and a telecoms company, he developed finance teams which were critical to the successes of those businesses. With strong commercial awareness, Mark set up and grew an organisation from the initial germ of an idea through to achieving a profitable turnover of £1.6M within one year.

Mark recently launched Ignite, a strategic consultancy, to focus on helping businesses achieve commercial success through innovation. Ignite already advises a portfolio of public sector and blue-chip clients.

Highly capable, and with a very pragmatic approach born out of considerable hands-on experience, Mark has an impressive track record of delivering benefits in every organisation he has worked.

Mark is married with children and plays golf to take his mind off the fortunes of his local football team.
